The growth of Heritage in the late 80's caught the attention of my father - that and the evident evangelistic emphasis. After being invited to church several times, my family began attending sporadically shortly before I began my teen years. One Sunday morning after weeks of personal searching, I came forward during the invitation after the morning message to receive Jesus Christ as my Saviour.
As I entered my teen years, God really began to work in my life. My family became fully involved, attending services Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. I began getting involved in the Youth Ministry. In the Summer of 1993 (I was 14), I attended Mount Salem Revival Grounds with my Youth group, and my life would never be the same. #1 - I would surrender my life to preach the Gospel, and #2 - I began a relation ship with Katie (VerPlank), who would ultimately become my wife 6 years later.
After camp, I entered my 9th grade year, and for the next four years, I had the privilege of attending the Christian School at Heritage. Through ups and downs, several Youth Pastors, a couple of Pastors, a few very good friends, and the grace of God, I grew spiritually and developed my relationship with God. By the time I graduated from High School, I knew God wanted me to train for the ministry at Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, IN. Half way through college, Katie and I were married, and we both graduated together in the Spring of 2001.
Leaving a lot out (I'd be glad to sit down and chat sometime), we came back to Heritage in the Spring of 2005 and served as the Assistant Pastor during time periods of 2005-2009, 2010-2014, and 2015-April of 2023. In those years, I had the opportunity to experience every known facet of ministry. In between, we had a few "adventures in pastoring that didn't quite work out the way we planned... In April of 2023, the good people of Heritage Baptist Church called me to be their Pastor.
At this point in my life, I can surely say that God has blessed me beyond measure! "My cup runneth over." Katie and I have enjoyed 24 years of marriage, and we have been blessed we two great sons - David & Joseph, who both are graduated from High School figuring out the next steps of life.
I serve and amazing God and serve with amazing people. I say "amazing" simply because they are the best friends I have in the world! We are ordinary people - sinners saved by grace - that serve and extraordinary God!

BIO
I was born here in upstate NY and raised in church all my life. At the age of seven, I received Jesus Christ into my heart as my personal Saviour! Not too long after my salvation, it became clear to me that God wanted me to be a preacher and serve Him in full-time ministry. Over the next few years, our family moved around a little bit to Oklahoma and Michigan, but we ultimately ended up back at Heritage Baptist Church when I was just a young teenager.
After graduating from high school, I felt led of the Lord to attend Commonwealth Baptist College in Lexington, KY, to train for the ministry. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Theology in 2017 and from there I moved back home to serve the Lord at Heritage Baptist Church while I waited for God’s clear direction for my future. In August of 2017, I was blessed to be able to marry my childhood sweetheart, Brittany (Titus) and since then God has blessed us with four beautiful daughters (Megan, Olivia, Brielle & Josie)
We stayed busy serving the Lord at Heritage Baptist Church for the next few years and in July of 2023, I was offered the position of Assistant/Youth Pastor. We gladly accepted, and it is truly an honor to have the amazing opportunity to serve the Lord here under the leadership of my longtime friend and role model, Pastor David Cialini. We are extremely excited to see what God does through this ministry as we seek to follow His will!
